EU accuses Belarus of ‘gangster-style’ behaviour to migrants

There’s increasing tension on the Belarus-Poland border where at least 2,000 migrants are camped out in freezing conditions trying to secure passage into the European Union.

The European Commission has accused Belarus’s authoritarian leader Alexander Lukashenko of luring migrants with the false promise of easy entry to the EU as part of an ‘inhuman, gangster-style approach’.
