Rwandan forces fighting Islamist insurgents in Mozambique

Islamist insurgents have been waging war against the Mozambique government in an oil rich province in the north of the country since 2017.

1,000 Rwandan soldiers have joined the fight against them, after the oil trade was disrupted and civilians were forced to flee.
