Katie Price’s fiancé has denied using threatening, insulting or abusive words or behaviour against the former glamour model after an alleged incident in Essex last year.

Reality TV star Carl Woods is alleged to have tried to force open a door to a property while Price was inside after she left his home following a row.

Last month Mr Woods, 33, was charged under section 4 of the Public Order Act.

The charge relates to an incident in Great Dunlow in Essex on 22 August, when the couple allegedly had an argument in the defendant’s home.

He was accompanied by Price, 43, as he arrived at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, where he entered a not guilty plea.

The former Love Island contestant appeared in the dock dressed in a black T-shirt and jeans, speaking to confirm his details and to enter his plea.

Price was pictured with him outside court wearing a dark-tinted visor with green leggings and a black top. She sat in the public gallery for the hearing.

She was arrested on suspicion of breaching a restraining order in January and in December avoided jail after flipping her car while drink-driving without insurance while disqualified.

The court heard Woods will not be represented through legal aid at his trial, in which five witnesses including neighbours will be called.

Bench chair Don Wickes released him on unconditional bail ahead of summary trial at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on 16 June.
