NHS: Government denies privatisation claims from unions

The government insists that the NHS “is not and never will be for sale”, after the Unite union claimed ministers want to privatise the health service.

Unite’s General Secretary Sharon Graham told Sky’s Sophy Ridge on Sunday that the government was refusing to enter into pay negotiations with striking nurses for “sinister” reasons.
